Just like the cute little french girl that she is! Awesome! I love the airplane. The most comfortable I've been in fo sure. I can walk into the cockpit with my roll-aboard in tow. The side stick is surprisingly nice too.

But the airplane doesn't compare to the culture here at F9. I'm still waiting for them to quit putting on a show for me The crews here are phenomenal - sort of reminds me of the ERJ stepchildren out east in the early days. Everyone from interview, to class, to sim, to IOE, to the line has been wonderful. I've never had IOE go so smoothly, it was actually a pleasant experience.

Negatives:
First year pay
Bottom seniority
Denver is pricey

I'm not complaining - I'm very fortunate - but it was an excruciatingly hard decision given my super seniority as an EMB upgrade at Mesa. In the end - I had to live life, and not let fear motivate me - so I went.

Are you sorry you asked? LOL.

Best of luck you guys - I LOVE knowing Mesa is doing well - because that means ya'll will do well!!!

Happy for ya buddy. You made the right decision. That Bus type seems to really help at those legacies.

ALPA is negotiating a blended rate across the board right now. There are perks as well but I was told keep it zipped.

What was JO quoted as saying???? "As long as I have a stack of resumes, I am paying our pilots too much".... I'll believe it when I see it. Everyone is supposedly on the verge of some great contract

Your definitely right about that. I can't talk about what I heard was being negotiated. But I do know that management will not budge right now on anything that will cost them more money. That being said, the blended rate for all our aircraft would benefit the company not the pilots. Mesa will make it sound like a good deal with what they have to offer. But in reality one rate across the board will not allow EMB captains to bid back to the CRJ. As of right now I could via the contract, bid the CRJ right after receiving the EMB type. Since Mesa has a higher pay scale for our 79 seat CRJ's in CLT. At anytime that your not seat locked you can bid into a higher paying aircraft. I think management is looking at this for future training cost's and want to shut that door. Slats your right though, as long as pilots are showing up to class they don't give a ****. And they're showing up, not just wet ATP's either, a lot of experienced 121 people as well.

It's a shame, I hope someone whether it be Mesa, Tran States, Republic, GoJets well, maybe not GoJets... But hopefully someone can turn the tide for everyone else. Hopefully before I get plucked from the pool!

Didn't have much time to post earlier, I'm happy for ya man. Sounds like a great place to work. Plus you got out of this regional whipsaw mainline money racket. I'm going to put a little money in my wallet and work on getting out soon as well. After the Great Depression (downgrades), things are really looking up for all of us.

Plus once you have 500-1000 hours on type on ANY variant of the bus, you will literally always have a job overseas if you need it/want it, regardless of the US economy. Emirates, Ethiad, Korean, Qatar, etc.--all of those companies and more will be taking anyone they can find with Bus/Boeing time on type for the foreseeable future.
