I looked that up also, he says he is looking for a job according to his twitter but lists his employment as recruiter for Mesa. My guess is it's a joke account or a moron. Funny either way.

Do those running to Mesa for a fast upgrade at all get concerned about them once again biting off more than they can chew and ending up back in ch11 with a ten year upgrade and food stamp wages.

Completely. But, I think the only place I'd rather be, as far as movement is concerned is Compass.

You should see the facebook. Is it wrong to post photos of FFDO's packing heat behind the door, behind their back, with information like dates, airline name, aircraft type and the city pair while jumpseating?

Can't get approved by the FAA? Actually we're right on schedule with the certification. Believe it or not, we need to have an airplane before we can start our proving runs. And part of the team is in Brazil as I type this accepting our first aircraft. Proving runs start right after tabletops are completed. And our growth doesn't depend on others buying our aircraft (Ejets did because it was such a large order) Mesa can't afford 60 EJets but we are financing the 4 900's coming from Italy. (Soon to be 14) Don't you think Skywest would rather have United own the birds? Or do you think companies like owning depreciating capital. Mesa scored big by having United purchase these aircraft.

I don't see these pictures, all his stuff is private on FB. If true, this needs to be sent to the CP's office.

Please enlighten me then. How exactly is having more financial liability a good thing a company actually wants, especially in such a volatile industry? Guess I missed this in economics. Do regionals not follow the same basic rules of business as any other American company? If it's more advantageous for United to own the aircraft, then why didn't they purchase the 40 EJets they awarded Skywest?
You're probably under the impression that United can just give the flying to someone else. This scenario has happened before and has the possibility to happen again. And if that scenario happened (the contract would have to be broken with their #1 performing regional; so it's highly unlikely right now), we would be over staffed pilots. That's it. Nothing a temporary furlough couldn't solve.
Now let's flip the scenario of ownership. Say we owned the aircraft (leases anyways). United could still pull our contract and we would be heavy on pilots which prior mentioned furlough could solve but there is no such thing as an aircraft furlough. We would still be liable for millions in payments every month to the leasor. (Could this be a crystal ball peak at Skywest and all their 200's?)
My point is, owning the capital in the regional business makes a company no safer than the next which is willing and able to operate at a competitive model.
