"How exactly is having more financial liability a good thing a company actually wants, especially in such a volatile industry"

you also get financial liability when the regional bids below its operating cost which now is an financial loss just to get the feed contract. The next logical step is for management to seek pilot concessions.

There are obvious benefits to both and are highly subjective and individualized to each company, which makes it variable and far from black and white. The only problem would come about if a company didn't have the ability to pick the option that would best suit it at the time.

He's listed as one of Mesa's recruiters on the list of companies attending the job fair in FLL next week.

How is that possible after being on property for 6 months? Thats like the most junior captain instantly becoming a check airmen.

I've always wondered how much if this goes on...regionals telling majors "don't hire our pilots". Pretty sure it's illegal, but maybe not due to the contractual relationship between the two parties?

I doubt they actually tell them to not hire their pilots. It just comes down to a major not wanting to cripple their own feed when they could harm a competitors. Eagle guys have historically had a tough time getting hired at AA outside the flow.

I don't see these pictures, all his stuff is private on FB. If true, this needs to be sent to the CP's office.

You might want to ask around again before you go "on the record".

He is very real.

I agree, I always wanted to fly for AA and back in 2001 I had an interview date set for Eagle. I was told by many mainline and regional friends that it would be hard to get on with AA if I worked for Eagle. Anyway 9/11 happened before the interview and I got a job flying cargo with airplanes nicknamed "beer-can". I had a Pinnacle/Endeavor jump seat captain back in October, she said they were losing 10+ a month to Airways. Considering Mesa has probably lost only 10 all year those numbers seam pretty offset. I know there is a clause in the App process for Airways that a initial or upgrade training event is required within the last 5 years, maybe that knocks some of our folks out of qualification do to the 5 year stagnation. But we have lost very few folks to Airways and I know many friends that have had their App in for years and they are not getting the interview call. To me it seams that there is some cross feed hiring going on.

How many Captains actually apply? Captain attrition has been -0- for the past year.

Food for thought, TPIC, did matter at one point but not anymore... The game is changing and yes upgrade times will fall even at the most stagnant regional.
You don't know the certification schedule so that means they can't get them approved? Adding aircraft is something Mesa is very good at. In fact, Sky failed their mini evacuation so many times they CSET team had to be called which promoted a call to Mesa to get advice on passing.

Let's see how cocky you are when the CR2's start getting parked in large numbers.
