How is your E175 program coming along? Have you started proving runs? What's your first day of revenue service?

I believe table tops start next week. That will last for two weeks and then the proving runs. There is already a sheduled flight on the United website. I believe it's IAH-MSY on June 15th.

Quick question - was told a guaranteed base of IAH with the EMB (I live in Ft Worth.) If the company opens up another base is that considered an involuntary displacement if you have Houston already? Any protections under the contract? This happened to me years ago as a junior captain with Independence (ACA). I moved to Dulles (from Detroit) when I upgraded for reserve CA QOL, and two weeks later I was involuntarily transferred to ORD. Seven of us turned in estimates to have the company permanently move us from IAD to ORD (a provision in the contract) at roughly $32,000 a piece for the moving company. We were all transferred back a week later and given deadhead or TDY for subsequent ORD assignments(rooms and per diem.)

Sounds like typical JO shenanigans!

If you guys suddenly are unable to hire, which to me this seems like a pyramid scheme setup to implode, especially when the quick upgrade suddenly becomes something pilots realize they are too late to the music.

With all the commitments Mesa is making, what would happen?

Wait...so LAX is not going to happen because the company doesn't want to pay for involuntary displacement? Sounds like we are still getting that flying...so is PHX going to be built up again? What could possibly go wrong with that!??

How would LAX result in any involuntary displacements?

There are 3 ways you could get displaced out of IAH as an FO. All highly unlikely with the extended contracts. 1. If there was a reduction in CRJ flying, FO's that can no longer hold the CRJ would displace to the EMB. 2. Captains that get displaced out of IAH have the option to downgrade and stay in IAH. 3. And if another aircraft was based in IAH, say a CRJ. That CRJ base closes. Those pilots could bid the EMB to stay in domicile.

There would be no involuntary displacements. All voluntary bids awarded to the lowest seniority bidders.
