No, EJET in IAH has been solid red for several months now. No ability to drop trips or swap really. CRJ side in DFW,IAD,PHX is even shorter with months of 200% pay incentives being offered to pickup open time. Instead of the Union utlilizing this as a carat to pick up and hammer the company for a contract they have done nothing on that front.

No. Not at all. The grid is always red. And new hire classes have come to pretty much a dead stop, so it won't get better unless drastic changes are made. And I don't see that happening.

It seems like enough to staff the remaining Ejet deliveries, and then barely run the rest of the operation. Keep in mind the majors will ramp up hiring again now that summer's over, so you can expect attrition to pick up again for us too. That hurts the staffing situation. At best, we'll maintain around the same number of pilots through the year, with a few Ejets to still be delivered.

The union is negotiating once or more a month with the company. 2 LOA's are almost done...what else should the union do?

Organize a picket, strike committee, etc. you know, usual stuff that unions do when negotiations get prolonged with management not playing ball. See those little picket invitations you get in the email, that your Union asks you to participate in, but doesn't organize for themselves? That kind of stuff. MAGMEC is a mostly lifer company dudes or sympathizers looking out for themselves.
