BDGERJMN,
Just curious - what aircraft are you doing SELRES duty in? I've done an interservice transfer from USAF to USN and am now waiting on the last peice of the puzzle - the SCROLLS list. Everything else is done (medical, Personnel Stuff) just need the commissioning document to swear in. Any words in the interest of expediting things in the final stages would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh the infamous scrolls list. PM me for more specifics. That can be tricky depending on when you were placed on the scroll list. That list goes to SECDEF for approval(which is a complete waste of time). The requirement for approval from AD to Reserve in the Navy by way of scroll I'm told was going away for FY09 but I could be mistaken. I can give you POCs for the scroll process at the Bureau. Long story short is it generally takes about 6 months from the time you request a reserve appoinment until the scroll is signed by SECDEFs office. Once that is signed the Bureau will cut you an oath of office to be signed. When they get that back you can start your affiliation process with your specific unit. Your reserve unit may or may not have Admin support who can help that process along. In my case, my reserve center folks were pretty much worthless in that process(read: I did it myself). To answer your first question I'm flying Hornets in my SELRES job and working for a contractor in my day job. Again, if you hae any further questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for the help - greatly appreciated and equally helpful. I will PM with some specifics sometime over the next week or so. Again, thanks for the help - great to talk to someone who has been through this already. Cheers.

If so - How are you? Cheers.

You are at DAL right? Oct 1 08 class? If not, I am thinking of someone else. Cheers though...
