Nav, Air Battle Managers, and (IIRC on this one) non-rated ops already have a higher promotion rate to LTC (they did on my board this year).

I think it's been that way the last several boards.

I got an AMC slideshow today on career development. Was surprised to see that over last five years or so, rated promotion to O5 in AMC has been about 15% lower than AF as a whole. What's with that?

My friend at Andrews compared being promoted to 0-5 to surviving a train wreck. All handpicked, top-notch guys with better than average records. It's shocking to say the least.

He had never seen so many sad faces in one Wing!
