During Gulf War I, the F-15 accounted for 36 of the 39 Air Force air-to-air victories.
Yeah, I thought of those incidents also, but was specifically talking about a dogfight... post-merge. I don't believe any of those encounters qualify. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Default One good turn deserves another

Think I read somewhere that British Sea Harriers completely outmaneuvered Argentine fighters in the Falklands war. Subsequent attempts to break off and run just provided a big IR missile target.

Rico Rodriguez got a kill post merge 2 circle fight vs MiG-29, WW Desert Storm. One of his three kills.

Many other visual engagments since then in Iraq and the Balkans. Can't think of any that actually went post-merge, though.

I remember that I was in line to be one of the first Marine Osprey pilots!
Just chose CH-46s and you'll be perfect for the transition **they** said.
Glad to see it finally make a deployment in my twilight years!
All I can pass to you is what the unclass briefs put out. Who knows what is really going to happen.
I won't be around to see any of it in any case. I just saw the inside of a Piper Matrix with its' Avidyne avionics suite. I'm ready to move up - - - uh - - I mean on in my aviation experience

Ah, the Matrix and Meridian are sweet. Marketing sold me <g> heck, would be happy with a T-34C <bg>

F-15 vs Iraqi Mig-29s in Desert Storm I.

Edit: Not really an ace....two shy.

If you really want to know more, I hear this is a good read.

I know there was an engagement between 2 F-14s and about 6 Soviet F-5s somewhere over the Indian Ocean circa 1986. One of the F-14s took them on by himself while the other disengaged. Fortunately the second F-14 re-engaged and saved the day. I saw a documentary on it when I was younger and it really affected me!

The documentary used F-5s, but in reality they were MiG-21s.

Hey FlyArmy do you know what the deal is with the UH-145? Do you know when it's supposed to come aboard, has it already?
