Hmmmmm......unless something has changed since I've been in a Battalion, there isn't even such a unit within a Battalion's TO.
Closest thing would have been the Scout/Sniper Platoon within the H&S Company.
I'd be curious to know though if this has changed in recent times but I highly doubt that actual are on Marines are assigned at the Bn level.

I almost didn't make it on here. Anti spam word completion 'McDonnel-', uh, "Had a farm? W T, O?".
I want to thank you guys for keeping my faith sound when it comes to professional airline pilot types. I've always held you guys as a group in the highest regard.
A couple of my mentors, when I was a crazy stupid risk addicted teenager (now I'm just a semi crazy risk addicted physical adult with the mental maturity of a 6 year old) and too stupid to listen to dad were naval Aviators (VP). They say one of the biggest motivators to not DOR at BUD/S is looking at the haze gray line across the bay and contemplating a few years of exotic, luxurious glory with the fleet (no disrespect intended to any/all fleet sailors, they've got one of the toughest jobs day to day in the world and it takes a mindset I will never have). One of my strongest motivators was not being able to imagine the face to face with my hero mentors, explaining that I had DOR.
These guys went on to fly for the airlines, and I gave professional benefit of doubt based on my opinion of them to the entire community. In the years since, in personal contact, I've never been let down. Glad to see it's more or less the same on the internet.
Looking at this **** comments regarding Chris Kyle and NSW snipers, I have serious doubts that he ever spent minute one anywhere near any unit remotely associated with infantry combat.
From his comments I also have no doubt that he spent ZERO time in the Teams, Marine Recon, force or batt.
And if ** is the POS phony warrior scumbag in question:
*********You're still due for a friendly visit so you can explain *** you were thinking ******* about your military service and Chris Kyle, but it would have been so much more righteous if the conversation had been initiated at or near a work related setting, in front of your colleague*************
I can think of few things more reprehensible than a phony ****** disparaging the memory of a fallen real deal....*******
It's a good thing that the guys that actually kick doors in the dark corners of the world are above any sort of retaliation, physical or otherwise*********
Oh well, a guy is allowed to dream, right?
APC dudes, thanks again.
Take it easy on the flight attendants. But not too easy.

Mr. Sharkman,
As I said before, it was MY PLEASURE serving with you guys and continuing to serve you guys when you travel. Every branch, rating and person in the military continues to hold you in the highest regard and cannot imagine the sacrifices you make in your day to day occupation.
That said, I completely identify with your "fear of the DOR." It was that very same fear (though I'd call it personal pride) that kept me from DORing out of AOCS when the going got tough.
Thanks for your comments. Hopefully, Mr. **** will sound off in front of the wrong folks someday and pay a price for his stolen valor.

Guys claiming misconduct don't have to prove their case when a guy says he was a USMC Recon, then got a degree in biology, then a USNR(?) SEAL, then a Green Beret, then a Boeing engineer(with a Bio degree?). "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."
That's a resume that would make Chesty Puller, Sgt York, or Audie Murphy blush. By they could provide witnesses or facts. If you did all of that good for you. That's very impressive. Absent proof it sounds absolutely like B.S.
What classes did you attend? Who were your First Sgt.'s? Commanding officers?
Anyone who served can rattle off a bunch of names who they served with, or under, and key events, or stories, that they were involved with during their time of service.
