As a former "hooker" all I remember was HOOK, HARNESS, GEAR....TRAP or Bolter, or Power..POWer.. POWER,,WAVE-OFF WAVE-OFF........

I flew Harriers with the RAF for 3 years and this doesn't look like any kind of "normal" V/STOL approach...gear's down, ordnance and tanks still onboard, you can hear the motor winding up near the end (the "oh s#!* " moment). Almost looks like a CL(conventional landing) with too steep an approach angle. We only did them as an "emergency" type approach (i.e. flap problem, hyd problem) but they required a shallow approach and a fast landing, as I recall. An uncomfortable landing because of the speed and how squirrelly the airplane felt rolling down the runway on those 4 gear at high speed...An RVL (rolling vertical landing) was much slower and steeper, allowing landing on a short strip rather than a pad. This video looks too fast for that. Glad he got out...I think I woulda been gone long before that...
