Get him off the meds, and forget he ever took them.

There are a few docs that hang out in the 'Doc's Corner' page here Air Warriors. They answer questions all the time. Upper right enter 'ADHD' in the search and you can view other's experiences and opinions...hours of reading. Please search/research before asking anything...your questions most likely have been asked and answered in there somewhere.

You may have seen this elsewhere but here is the waiver guide for USN/USMC/USCG
Aeromedical Reference and Waiver Guide

See Psychiatry 14.7...

Good luck.

I am active duty coast guard right now, and currently there are NO waivers being granted for entry into the CG. we are overbilleted and underbudgeted, and there are an IMMENSE amount of recruits trying to get in, so at this point they are only picking the best of the best, and they dont need to go through the hassle of waivers. how will this be in 5 years? i dont know, hopefully things will be a bit different. this link is coming from a recruiter directly:

With that being said, the new USAF Fitness Program is essentially the RIF that the higher ups have been dreaming of. Why? It is going to force lots ... :::LOTS::: ... of people out of the ranks all under the guise of not being physically fit. And who's going to argue with that? You either pass the test or goodbye.

Same thing in the Navy several years ago - a tightening of physical readiness standards, mostly to cull the herd since enlistments, and re-enlistments, were way up. Like any other industry, it's supply and demand. Right now the supply is plentiful, and with budget cuts the demand is dwindling.

That being said, agree with the checking of the "NO" box on any medical form the military has.
