I was in the fifth T-1 class, which was after the syllabus evaluation but before they implemented any changes. So, the IPs knew we had way too many flights but the rides had to stay the same. I remember we had something like 9 low level flights before the checkride, and by ride 5 or so we were begging to check early. I'm pretty sure the 400 hours is right because I've got printouts dating back that far.

I wound up submitting my FedEx app without it because as most mentioned they don't have a dual/student column on the app. The Delta app does, and I thought I'd like a better breakdown of my time. I'll stick with the estimate I have. Thanks for the answers.

Class 96-05 @ Reese: T-1s only (Navy) 108.1 hours (79.4 First Pilot + 28.7 Copilot) and 69.9 Special Crew (= USN "other")

8 low level/AR rides (7 + check) in my logbook

~215 pilot hours when I got my wings

Probably a lot of "other" time in that 400 hours.

I was a T-1 IP, and remember there is a lot of jumpseat time in the T-1 that is Other time. I think that is why the total is so high, vs us older guys with 190-200hrs.

and as far as a civilian career....that "other" time is WORTHLESS...... I mean if you want it in your personal logbook ...sure....but other than that it shouldn't appear anywhere on job apps, resume's.... etc..... the OP needs to figure out how much of that 400 was "other" time and discount it.
