I am currently waiting for a waiver to be approved for my own refractive error. I tested out during my physical at around 20/100. My refractive error came out to -2.25 in right eye and -2.75 in my left. The max waiverable standard is -3.00 and 20/200.

-5.50 & -5.75 + .25 astigmatism in one eye, was where my eyes were at when I couldn't get a waiver for a guard unit. (and they were trying hard to get me one... It was just outside of what the AF says is waiver-able).
I got LASIK, and I'm trying to apply for slots again.
Unfortunately, there are still a lot of people out there that think LASIK isn't waiver-able, and I had one reserve unit that didn't want to deal with a LASIK waiver at all. But I have a student who got LASIK about a year and a half ago that got picked up by a C-130 squadron, and have met several others in passing that were able to get LASIK waivers, so I know its possible.
Overall, I'm really happy with the surgery though. Now I see better than I ever did with contacts/glasses. After being pretty much blind without my contacts pre-op, it is the most amazing thing to wake up and just be able to see every morning. Also, I can't wait for waterskiing this summer without worrying about my contacts falling out .

Dude, if you want to fly and you aren't colorblind you can do it. Just go do some actual research and look up the source or go talk to an actual flight dice... Or the unit you want... Or get an AF flight physical. More effort will end up in more success
Don't trust any of these idiots... Including me. We aren't flight docs, we just play them on tv. I did sleep at a holiday inn express last night though...
