Default Tanker down in Kyrgyzstan?

An A-model tanker had a similar accident in '82. It exploded in flight because of an expected fuel pump issue. The other fuel pump /fuel tank issues I recall since I have been flying the tanker are: An E-model tanker exploded pulling into the chocks @ Eielson AFB because of center wing tank fuel pumps. Another A-model caught fire during a T&G @ Altus because of an arcing HF coaxial cable near aft fuel tank. The last one I remember is an A- model exploded on approach @ Loring, also an aft air refueling pump issue.

Saddened by this tragedy, but happy to see people stoking the passion for flight by completing the RV. Not a lot of airline/military pilots that actively flying for fun (maybe 10%). It's rare to see one of us express a love for flying to a level that Tyler did.
