I've seen that one, but I was wondering what Mr. Santelli's reaction was LAST YEAR when the banks and investment companies were bailed out with federal money? Do you have a copy of that show? It seems to me that there are a lot of people and institutions drinking that watter and I would hope that Santelli and everyone on this thread would be equally aghast and not just ****ed off when "his neighbors" got federal help.

After decades of complete lack of fiscal control we are now seeing exponential spending and the anger is starting to boil up as more people wake up to see the theft in progress. It is understandable that more anger is directed at the perpetrators of the largest crimes, but the list is so long that we will need a program to sort them all out. There are not many innocents on the hill.
I agree with everything you say. Anger is a good word to describe the prevailing sentiment around the country. But, I hope that some on this board don't direct their anger solely at their neighbors who are in over their heads.
While a good percentage of the past and future foreclosures are a result of the borrower biting off more than they can chew, a large percentage of forclosures are a result of the borrower taking a substantial paycut or a loss of a job. Two scenerios that most of the people who post on this message board should be sympathetic too.
There are also a lot of investors who are cought up in this housing crisis. If I were to take a straw poll of my pilot friends, I would say close to 50% of them are heavily involved in the housing market, mainly because their pension was lost or frozen.
So, when I see posters on here idolize this guy for naysaying a government plan to throw some money at the housing crisis, but not even mention the billions of dollars that were thrown at the financial sector, I am dismayed.
That guy is an idiot and the main person he thinks dosen't belong in a house next to him is a laborer, specially some overpaid unionized pilot. In fact, he probably thinks that pilots and their unions are at part of the cause of this troubled economy. Yet we are willing to run to Chicago for some tea party because he calls for it?
I think some of us need to figure out what side of the plate we are batting from. If you are upset about government spending, be upset about all government spending, not just the spending that might help your neighbor.

It isn't about throwing money at the housing crisis and it isn't about all the other pure pork wrapped up in this whole thing. The fact is that we have allowed government to sink each of us into massive debt and that debt is rising at a faster pace every day. Very little is being done to help the economy, but huge amounts are being spent growing government and our obligations for debts we did not generate.
The house of cards is going to collapse and there is going to be a whole lot more pain if this keeps going on. Much of this activity is criminal, but those commiting the crimes are not going to police themselves. If you think there is anger now, just wait until the empty bag is held up for all to see. Anybody who wanted to could see it all along, but most of us have to see the news on TV.

YouTube - Rick Santelli ****ed off about the bailout
He wasn't happy about those either...notice what the indecises were during that clip...those bailouts didn't work either...
Let people and organizations who made bad decisions suffer the consequences of their decisions....The govt. putting more money on the credit card isn't going to fix things at this point....

Thanks for posting that. My take on it is that Santelli was not happy about bailing out the banks, but at several points he said something had to be done -- just not as quickly as everyone wanted to.
I think the bottom line is is that inevitability has already passed us by and China owns us. We probably passed the point of no return 3-4 years ago, but missed the memo. We can see it in our shift in foreign policy and human rights.
In my opinion, the only chance we really have is for the U.S. to find something to build that no one else in the world can and build it exclusively. Otherwise its learn one of the two versions of Chineese, if not both.
Man Zou!
