holy grail of pilot jobs AT THE MOMENT. there I corrected for you. It’s all timing. I am sure in 2010 those furloughed UPS pilots didn’t think so.

With enormous respect to my 109 colleagues who suffered a completely unnecessary furlough, this job has been a very desirable and stable job for a long time. No job is full proof, but, as we have seen, Fedex and UPS have been the mantra of job security for a long time. You can make all the comments you want, barring a short period of time of “just because I can furlough to spite you” time, the facts speak for themselves.

hey brother I’m a freight dog at heart, my first decade in this thing of ours was spent behind the yoke of a DC3 flying with the night brigade, and during the furlough I was blessed with 2 747 types flying global ACMI with K4, UPS rocks it no doubt, but this little frac thing of ours has evolved to a point where it Is regarded as a necessity now, and not a luxury by our clients, post 2018 IBI this job has become quite enjoyable, Glad you are happy, but we are too, I will always be a freight dog , God bless you guys, a lot of my Kalitta peeps are now wearing Brown, plus you are keeping the 747-8 alive. Cheers !!!

That’s my point. No aviation job is the “ Holy grail” job. You ask delta pilot in feb 2019 they will tell you that is the Holy Grail of aviation career. And yes I can make all the comments I want. It’s a free county where I live.

There is no such thing as a holy grail job. There are jobs that are better than others.

Where is that, exactly? I'm looking for the right place to retire. And soon depending on November...

I'm not sure if you are being serious but in case you are: By most measures it is not. Neither is my country by the way.

I had a quick look at rankings from a wide range of international sources by country based on freedom, GDP, heaths systems, obesity, drug addiction, violent crime, higher education, obesity, happiness, suicide rates and much more. The US is not the number one in any(!) of these rankings.

Doesn't mean it's a bad country. It does have its major flaws though and is far from perfect. Being able to see and admit this does not mean one isn't a patriot. It just means one isn't an idiot.
