Read in a thread here there was a signing bonus, is that a thing of the past? If not, how much is it? Cannot find it on the netjets career site.

Is it a deal breaker if you can't attend the expo? Right now working 6 days a week outside of flying and getting time off is non existent.

Is it possible to hold the 52 day schedule out of training?

Have never heard of a signing bonus.

I think a majority of hiring is done from the expo. I haven’t heard of any independent interviews as they have to arrange sims slots. I would somehow find a way to get time off.

Don’t make your decision to come here expecting the 52 day right out of training. Not saying you can’t get it. I believe the latitude SIC 52 day went to anyone who wanted it and other fleets went very junior. 3 1/2 years ago when I got hired it was a senior schedule.

Hard to find bodies...

Recently heard ten pilots invited to interview and only two showed up? Not sure if this is true or not.
But if it is then this is telling for sure...

Anyone at NJ have any info on retirements there? I know there’s no age 65 mandatory retirement but I could have swore I saw something in another NJ thread saying there are close to 1000 pilots at the top who are “due” for retirement. Not trying to offend anyone I’m just trying to get a feel for the age of the pilot group. I’m currently at a LCC that’s merging with another LCC, both with extremely young pilot groups.

Management has openly said they want a mandatory age 65. That said, there is already one lawsuit working itself through the system for denying someone over 65 a check airman position and there will surely be many more lawsuits to settle things unless a law is passed to accomplish this. They have tried multiple times to get it included in various bills going through the government, but have been rejected each time so far. Most likely there will be an age limit at some point, but it is hard to say when that will be. The group overall probably averages well into the 50s, but there is massive hiring currently and planned well into the future that will bring the average way down. There are probably around 1000 pilots that will retire in the next decade even without a mandatory age limit. Age 65 tomorrow would probably get around 300 or so.

Any signing bonus would have been in reference to signing a new bargaining agreement, not a newhire bonus.

For perspective on “retirements”, or upward movement…I’m about to pass the one-year mark and have moved up about 125 numbers in that time period. I also have 500+ numbers below me!!!

I was at the last hiring expo (July 11-13). There were 57 of us there for interviews.
