How're your QOL, Equipment, Routes, Benefits, Do you like your job there? Anything you wish the company can improve on? I see that the upgrade times are dropping which is promising but what makes Ravn more appealing to you rather than Horizon or PenAir.

Alaska is on my bucket list with all the outdoor activities that it offers but regionals like Republic and Endeavor in the lower 48 are very enticing with pay and benefits.

When a company does hire street Capt. It says a lot about how the pilots like the job

Last month it was announced that Ravn was buying PenAir.
Does anyone know how that will change things at Ravn?
Pay? Benefits? Upgrades? Flight time? Bases?

Have things improved at all? I see they keep hiring for DECs and FOs on both the Saab and Dash. Other than the aircraft, is there a difference in pay and conditions? It seems the Dash op pays better? The bonuses are different too. It also says home EVERY night? Thanks for any infornation.

FO pay is the same for both the Dash and the Saab. Dash Captains currently have a much better pay scale but that may change this fall since the company is working towards a single operating certificate. Dash FO is currently fully staffed and the QOL is nice. Saab FO is still lagging a bit so they fly a bit more. The company is short on Captains in both aircraft thus the DEC hiring. Even with the upgrade time under two years now the flow of Captains to the majors is pretty high. QOL for the captains is pretty bad as they are flying close to ninety hours a month. Home every night is a real deal. Once or twice a year you might RON for a charter that starts early in the morning somewhere other than Anchorage and of course a mechanical or weather might jam you up but those are rare. The Dashes are well maintained … can't speak to the Saab's conditions.

That does not paint Ravn in a good light.
