Connect Airlines? Who's got intel?
Reading up on a small start up calling themselves Connect Air. Borne from the Waltzing Matilda clan, the Philly and Chicago based op has two Q400's. Looking at the Aussie COO, I'm not sure what to make of it. Anyone have any first hand information?
Thanks!

Wow
Ok, well that was a fun read. If there are any folks working directly for Connect that would PM me, I'm in coms with their recruiter, and would like to have a first hand experience to learn from. I've worked several stand ups and start ups, I'm familiar with that roller coaster. It's through that experience I learned what works and what doesn't. Not for everyone, surely.

Feel free to send me a PM - I've been with Connect since February this year.

https://simpleflying.com/connect-air...mber-2022/John Thomas, the head of Virgin Australia's domestic and international business, is leaving the airline less than a year after he started in the top job in what is a setback for chief executive John Borghetti's succession planning process.
Mr Thomas, a former global aviation consultant, was hired in September last year as part of a major restructure of the airline. At the time he was seen as a potential successor to Mr Borghetti, who has been running the airline since 2010.
It is believed the board no longer sees Mr Thomas, who is a well-regarded consultant but had no former senior management experience, as chief executive material and he is moving on. Rob Sharp, the head of Virgin's low-cost carrier Tiger Airways Australia, has been appointed to the role on an acting basis.
Virgin was preparing to announce the management change to staff late on Thursday.
I’d be very careful with this lot. The above paints a pretty clear picture of the operation. I’ve been watching it for like two years now. The ownership issues and hiring foreign crew, can also be found on the WWW. I am willing to bet that a recruiter will tell you things to get you to join that are clearly not true. Smart start captain, has scam written all over it and the devil will be in the details.
With all the regionals, LCCs, Majors etc… hiring, why would you take the risk?

RIP Connect Airlines
I think it's pretty safe to say they're done. No update in six months and nothing on the website anymore.
CAN THE PROFILE BELOW PLEASE BE REMOVED? It was deceptive to begin with and had been removed once already. The World needs to move on from this company.
