Mvndc10, what point are you trying to make here? As someone previously said, you probably work for Colgan or Eagle. We fly fun planes into awesome uncontrolled Bahamian airports, get to overnight in resorts all over the islands, learn from Captains who actually enjoy doing their jobs, and have a blast doing it. I'd rather work here, than get stuck on a 6 day trip in a shiny jet with a prick who thinks their sh!tty regional job is better than the other, or does nothing but complain about it... (written from my ocean-front suite in the Bahamas, courtesy of Silver Airways).

Sounds like a great way to justify your job. We have no trips over 4 days at Eagle, most are 2 or 3. We get about 15 days off/month, our FOs make more than your Captains as well. We enjoy having an auto pilot, and get 3 hour legs to we can actually make some money. We also do the islands, we enjoy going into Georgetown or La Ramona (oh wait your 1900 can not go that far). We also enjoy not having to fly with Captains who paid for their training to an Eastern Scab.

A ton of lakes and silver captains are now FOs at Eagle, because they wanted a better QOL. You need a get some humble pie man, because your out of touch with reality. Oh BTW what happens to you low time guys if you do not have 1500 hours by next AUG?????

This has to be a joke?

Guys, really?

We were all getting along so well and then you let some drive-by trolling get to you? I suppose we were up for a restart of the thread cycle, only with different characters.

Seriously no one wins the regional pi$$ing match. Ever.

Know your place, sir! You're supposed to cue one of the Silver fans like Cruz or Me with your "to the rescue in 3...2...1..." countdown not actually come to our rescue yourself. :p

Yea, maybe I exaggerated a bit. Removed the post. I'll admit im a victim of "drive-by trolling" and it got me a little heated. Just trying to say that I'm enjoying it, for now. I dont want to turn this into a pi$$ing match, like uvuflier said. Anyways, moving on. How 'bout them Rangers ;)

I couldn't agree with you more Wingtips. I haven't been in the game long, but I learned from my academy days the sooner you can become humble the better. When you're young like me and other fellow aviators such as myself, people are quick to make these comments, but the the reality of it is, they haven't been in the game long enough to truly understand the reality of it all.

They're still captivated by the glitz and glamour that's in front of them... Give it a few years in the business then it will sink in.

Such is life, we all go through it I think. Sandrich, not flaming you man. But in life it aint sunny everyday.. Its bound to rain sooner or later.

I love how sandwich messages me and says he would love to be at Eagle but does not have the time.

That is why you are at silver. Noone has a bone to pick, but do not act like your something special flying around the islands. You had to go there because you had no choice, and make poop pay.

I'm only 3 months in and I'm starting to realize the truth. Pardon my moment of humiliation. Just trying to defend myself (for whatever reason) and it bit me in the a$$. Lesson learned. Didnt mean to appear better than everyone else. Lets burry this one and move on...

Not trying to defend that guy but I have flown as a regional FO on a jet went to GIA as a street CA and then left for anther almost street CA job and the reason I left was not because I did not have an autopilot or cant do flying over 2 hours. I did not pay for training either. I left for better opportunities and eagle was the last place I would have gone.
My sim partner at my current airline left eagle after 6+ years as an FO.
I don't care what I fly as long as it pays good money and it improves my career. It is all luck. Back in 2004 I would have loved to go to eagle.

I called to follow up after I submitted my resume and the guy I spoke to said something about how they're hiring Pinnacle/Colgan people. I didn't quite catch what he said and I didn't want to keep him on the phone for too long as he sounded like he was pretty busy. Anyone have any idea how they're dealing with Pinnacle/Colgan applicants?
