I don't see what the issue is here.....
If you were offered an interview go.... if you were offered a job take it (provided you didn't have an offer you preferred from another place) get your hours and apply elsewhere if that's what you want. Lot's of people are making up excuses in their own head as to what they should do when they already know what they want. Why come on here looking for advice when none is needed? |
Things are backed up live with it if you have other offers than take them why wait?

Silver is my first choice due to my situation at the moment. Why do you say advice is not needed?! |

It is not an actual interview, just a "job fair" that's why the question, it just seems odd that they raise there minimums and invite me to a job fair when I only have about 300 TT
This is going to get interesting for the folks hired with 250-400tt who are in the pipeline now. I have some friends hired at PSA last summer with about 300tt. They are flying about 25-40 hours a month on reserve so even they are hard pressed. |
Cory is exactly right. I'd say that my class (January) was the last chance any FOs had to get hired with low time and get to 1500 before next August. And even still its going to be tough. I only got hired with 300 hours, but was lucky enough to get a line flying 80 hours a month from the start (I'd I'm still skeptical). If you get reserve up north, you'll be lucky if you fly 20 hours a month...
Silverwings, your question was answered numerous times. HR even told you yourself that they were busy (which they are). Even guys like us working for the company are completely out of the loop. I know waiting is tough, but that's all you can do right now. Wish you luck |

What I'm getting at it is nobody knows what is going on. Nobody knows what next August holds in stock either so keep on looking to get a "job" anywhere if that's what you want.

Remember this, a "job fair", is an actual interview.

You can't blame Silver for upping their minimums. At the same token. Why would someone with 1000 hours come here when SkyWest and others have the exact same minimums...?
