Ok I just know now that Silver have a new CP and rumors are that after next Monday when next ground beggings they will stop hiring for the summer. So now what? Fly Banners? CFI? Buy a plane? Or play the lottery!

Ok something dosen't make sense about this company. So they are currently short staffed and been slow to get the training department going. Now they may have as many as 3-4 new contracts to fly with aircraft that are not even in service yet. If hiring stops how would they even consider the new contracts? I would love to know the new mission now.

Doubt this is true. they are going to a job fair soon... why would they do that if they weren't hiring any more people?

But this is just a rumor, is not sure yet, right?

Yes, the feds have to approve and the company has to decide to act on it.

Anyone know anything about the upcoming SA job fair? I'm invited to it and was wondering if it includes on-site interviews?

The IAD flying has been approved. They want silver to start flying it in July. I doubt it though...they had to cancel the Saab training this month because there was not enough 1900 pilots to cover the current flying. They also have yet to come to an agreement with United for a codeshare. IMO they need to staff the current flying and Saab transition before expanding anywhere. This is nightmare waiting to happen....

New FO mins posted on Silver's website. I would guess the 2 year bond is over and a signing bonus is in the future for new hires. Its not appealing to low timers anymore. Im interested to see whats going on here by late summer.

In my opinion, they need to pull their cards out of IAD or ATL and focus on getting everything in order in FL first, before they start sending aircraft that they dont have, nor to people the fly them, to other bases...then again, what do I know.

As far as a "signing bonus," dont know where you heard that from. I can see the signing contract going away, considering there is wording in the CBA that says that no pilot is to pay for the use of any training equipment. I think it's one of the things the union is working on...
