Didn't see this coming...
SILVER AIRWAYS PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED AIR SERVICE AT GREENVILLE; LAUREL/HATTIESBURG; AND TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI AS WELL AS MUSCLE SHOALS/FLORENCE/SHEFFIELD/TUSCUMBIA, ALABAMA AND GREENBRIER/WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WEST VIRGINIA Flying will be with Saabs. Looks like we're going to need a lot more of them. |
That's a proposal, not a contract.

Also how is Silver going to provide this service quick enough considering how many Saabs are coming online monthly? I saw on another forum that someone said they had a Silver pilot in the jumpseat the other day and they stated FO mins are now 750TT. Anyone have any information on this? |

It's for sure going to get interesting here, but then again we could all have smoking being blown up our rears. I'm not sure what's going to happen when the 1500 hr rule will kick in, if some of the pilots do reach 1500TT, also heard that pilots under 23 might have to walk away from the job until they are 23. But as always, I'll believe things when the stations are opened, not saying that I wouldn't mind going to fly out of IAH or IAD.

i interviewed back in December btw and got offered a class in March, so it was a long time but u must be patient. But I would definately recommend following up with the hr dept or chief pilot once every few weeks just to remind them your still keen in joining them. This is what I did for 3 months and it worked for me I guess. Good Luck.

"TUPELO, Miss. — After rejecting two earlier rounds of bidding by smaller airlines hoping to provide commercial service in Tupelo, city and airport officials might have an offer they like.
Air Choice One and Silver Airways turned in their bids, and Tupelo Regional Airport Executive Director Josh Abramson said he likes what he sees in Silver." Silver Airways looks golden to Tupelo airport to replace Delta Air Lines - The Washington Post |
