Cruz says all you get is Nonrev privileges and no JS yet. So if your not in CASS you havent been cleared to fly the JS. The gate agent will not know you're a pilot going to training. all your res says is NRPS. So I would not think you would be authorized for it unless somehow 3M had some OCC authorization.

If its UA/CO privileges when i worked for UA any NRSA or NRPS was business casual dress or in uniform. I know for most non-reving on OA jump seating is wear your uniform or business casual.

Well considering I haven't earned my first set of epaulettes yet, I dont want to be some schmuck in a uniform with no stripes ;) so business casual it is.

Well maybe the "I'm not an FO, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night" line can land you a ride up front.

Or, im going to be an FO, my pilot salary will suck, but I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

You are not allowed to JS until after training. You will be positive spaced on whatever airline can bring you to FLL. Airtran took me from ATL to FLL. Just dress nice on your way down don't over think something so simple.

Wasn't planning on it. When I mentioned jump seat, I was just asking if your still expected to dress professionally as part of a technical "crew member" while NRPS/NRSA. Always wondered about that, like if you go on vacation somewhere can you hop on with flip flops and shorts, or not. Thanks for the info though.

You just need to follow the airlines directives of dress as a non revenue passenger. That goes for pilots down to rampers. Once in CASS you can jumpseat, and it's generally business casual or uniform.
