I was just clarifying what they expected. I know Eagle's evaluator did everything minus actually flying while Air Wisconsin you do it all.

Nancy (or Cruz) in 3...2...1... To those of you expecting an interview shortly, the only adjustment you have to make is the fact that it will climb out faster, your approach speed will be faster, and your localizer/CDI will capture a lot faster. Other than that, just calm your nerves and fly the plane. Oh, and the sim is very pitch sensitive/unstable. But the evaluator doesn't really worry about that... Sorry nancy, Didn't mean to stir the pot :) |

Hahaha. Nah, man I didn't mean it like that don't worry. I didn't mean "flying the 1900 is like flying a 172 with more power" I meant it as "think of the sim as flying a 172" as in...just use basic IFR skills and dont worry about the aircraft that you are flying. Probably should have clarified that! The 1900 sim clearly has more gauges, different power settings, profiles, but for the purpose of the sim in the interview, just fly the CDI, hold altitude, brief your approach, and use your evaluator to your advantage. Heck, most complex thing i've flown is a Seneca II a few times and a Meridian twice. NOTHING like a 1900, but flying fundamental IFR is the same no matter what a/c your in, with exception to a lot more switches and buttons haha.

There is a passing score it's 70. When I took it 80 was the cutoff and it's not very difficult.

How long have the interviews generally ran? I'm going tomorrow at 12:30 and was curious if I should try and leave tomorrow or Thursday.

Did GIA only rebrand as Silver, or have they changed/planning to change the name on the certificate as well? Are they still coded 3M?
