Good luck, with those times you could have a great QOL at skywest or expressjet. I see a huge inability to hire. Once they hire up all the guys with 3+ failed checkrides, duis, or criminal records, they are going to be SOL.

Considering going there as a street captain ..... But the signing contract has got to go for sure... They didn't have that back in 2007 when they were hiring tons of street captains .....

I also got invited but I have around 275TT... Not sure if it would be worth it considering plane tickets are about $400 for me to get there.

I would consider it if I thought i had a chance to actually get the job, maybe this is there last round of hiring low guys? if we bust our butts we could possibly have the 1500 by August of next year. I am definetely up for it!

If you got hired now, you probably wouldnt be through IOE or on the line until the end of July. That being the case, you would need to have 600 hours at time of hire in order to hit 1500 by next August, flying an average of 75 hours a month. At 300 hours, you would need 120 hours a month.... (unless your a military or university guy)

As far as a "signing bonus," dont know where you heard that from. I can see the signing contract going away, considering there is wording in the CBA that says that no pilot is to pay for the use of any training equipment. I think it's one of the things the union is working on...

I didn't hear it. I was just suggesting it could be possible since anyone with 1000TT will probably go to a higher paying regional.

2500TT and ATP written done...invited to the job fair, I hope the only reason would be for a Captain gig...it's a tough pill to swallow flying a Saab around in the left seat for 36 an hour when I'm making 42 as an FO
