Thanks for your response. Any idea if they would look favorably or un-favorably on prior experience flying the Saab 340A or Captain time?

Yes prior Saab time and PIC are good things :D

They are not hiring into FLL right now. They are hiring for Billings, Montana and Dubois, Pensilvannia.

You would be going to the Beech 1900 at $19/hr.

I do believe they are CASS, so yeah, you can jumpseat around...

The latest I heard now was that these new hires are going into the Saab. Not an official source though.

And what's with Silver winning this 2013 Regional Airline of the Year award?!? We have the most inept crew scheduling department, a chief pilot who thinks that management through fear, ridicule and intimidation are the norm, a maintenance department that feels its OK to defer inoperative flaps for three days and had a guy land a Saab at the wrong friggen airport a few months ago! The judges must be a bunch of blind, deaf people!!

Don't forget a Payroll department that is shooting an 0-7 (for me) on getting me paid accurately. A constant fight for LDO pay that is owed. And a 1-8 on getting paid on time!

What I don't understand is why we're hiring so many the rumors are between 20-40 but that bid result showed an excess of 42 pilots on property.

Maybe they are just collecting applications.

Shmystem shmaffing shmids cost money no way that happens that's why theyre moving all the ppl they can with pref bids.

Yeah but moving people based off of your pref bid cost the company no money. No moving days or money from the company cause its your pref to move , versus a displacement , but yes a staffing bid would cost big bucks cause people would get bumped out.

Only way it would happen is for a new base, or consolidating into the hubs like we've all been reading. I once read that everything you see on the internet is true....seems legit.
