SILVER AIRWAYS PROPOSAL TO PROVIDE SUBSIDIZED AIR SERICE AT MACON, GEORGIA

Interesting development...

ATL-MCN-MCO?

And with Georgia skies (Pacific Wings) pulling out and Sun Air unable to take over, the DOT may look favorably on Silver.

The only thing missing in this picture is all of you guys hanging out in your leather coats with the wings still on them drinking at the bar.

Will there be any more DECs?

Doubtful. There are a significant number of FOs, myself included, with the time and seniority to hold left seat on the Saab. We are only waiting for a class date for upgrade. The company knows if they hire any more street CAs for the Saab, they will have to pay all of us CA pay, in addition to the DECs making CA pay. Too expensive for them, especially considering all of the cutbacks we've been hearing about in the name of cutting costs.

This is true for some until they change the hard times to upgrade. Such as a minimal TT time to upgrade like 2500 total . A lot of Fo 's don't have that even though they may have 1500tt .

What's the contractual number of DECs they can hire/have on property?

What does your contract say about bypass pay?

I'd say a majority of the FO's don't have 2500TT.

:/

This is totally unofficial and hearsay, but one of the gate agents in DUJ was saying that Silver might be picking up a PIT - MDT route. It would be run by a Dubois crew. They'd fly DUJ to PIT, then run several MDT round trips and then back to DUJ.
