I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here, but if things need addressing and you feel strongly about something than we have to do more than just vent to each other or on some internet forum. Take for instance the lines in your base... if you think they are not efficient or commutable etc. etc. be a part of the scheduling committee and try and make a difference.
I've also made the request to be on the scheduling committee, at least as a representative for my base but no word from the Union.
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

I talked to the Union about us Low Time FO's. They said company is going to offer us a leave of absence if you have 1300hrs until you get 1500hrs. or termination less than 1300hrs.
Uncle Ed told us tooo..
I better crank that C-150 and fly it.....

The company saying I'm not supposed to fly on my own time doing private flying. I told her its non commercial I'm not a CFI, so i can't even instruct. Don't yearly flight times and duty times only go towards commercial flying and not recreational? I was trying to look it up, unsure about it now.

I'm in the Saab but ill be fine. There's a mix I think most low time guys are on the Saab, not sure what's left on the 1900.
Nothing like reserve to slow progress in FLL when I first got hired. Most low time pilots hired were going to be fine but shifting in schedules put a lot of them on reserve when they held lines after a while. So unfortunately for most it's just a luck of the draw.
