There is a lot of talk about all these FO's who got bypassed, yes I agree some did get bypassed by DEC, but many many many of the ones who are talking sh*t right now were not qualified to serve as a 121 captain becuase of Age or total time etc when these DEC were hired. When I was hired there many years ago there was 17 DEC in my class alone. This is a cycle that this airline will always go through, in years time it will happen again.

Congrats for many of the FO's who are getting the left seat thats great, but for those who are complaining who have only been there for about a year...... its a bit much. Keep in mind any other airline that operate these saabs in the past required at least 2500 tt with so much in type. Many peeps dont have that.

Until a couple years ago Colgan was 1500 TT to upgrade on the Saab.

And yet they stalled out a perfectly good Q400 and killed 50 people. I rest my case.

With way more than 1500 TT. No mainline pilots have ever crashes as they all had more than 1500 TT
