Turning away people at an interview is not the same thing as "not struggling for new hires." Perhaps the crew planning department and the HR/CP's office haven't gotten their heads together on modifying the interview process. Who knows. I know at QX the interview is points based. If you don't score high enough, you're not getting the offer no matter how short-staffed the company may be. Counter-productive? Maybe. The point is, correlating interview failures to staffing numbers isn't going to be accurate.

Yes - it certainly is an infatuation
I love seeing people basically pretend to change who they are, and were, and try to play high and mighty.
And yes - you are talking down to Chrisw and the other pilots with the 'just helping mgmt' type of rhetoric. Tell me Cruz how you would have (or did) answer those who tried to tell you the same thing.

You're referencing posts nearly 2 years old do you think after the UA/AA merger that people will say o man this place is going to explode with growth and new planes etc. etc. possibly and then it could completely turn to garbage like Silver did in a matter of years. I wasn't about to leave when there was massive growth and a good outlook but when it all came to a screeching halt you betcha I'll bail.

Yes - these are posts from 2 years ago. They show that you were no different than the fellow co-workers of your that you now accuse of just helping management. Tell us Cruz - do these posts look like someone who wasn't helping management or someone who jumped at the job even though he was already talking bad about the company to begin with before he was even done with the interview process?

Yep you accepted their offer to help you get the experience you needed when you said that no other regional would hire you.

Post# 182 They dropped me off at the airport and all was done. Everyone was real nice and my only personal gripes are that we all seem to be misled about paying for training there and signing a contract. That is my only negative about them. I wouldn't mind working there minus all this contract garbage.

Maybe if they were truthful from the beginning I wouldn't have 5-10 different PM's from people wondering what they heck is going on. Not one person has told me a similar story.

Post #190 First off GLA hasn't given me a yes or a no, but I'm probably not going to take it even if I am offered the position. If GIA didn't have a training contract then yes I would like to work for them more so than GLA and here is why. They pay more per hour on the same A/C and given where I live the commute is easier on myself and family.
Guess this is one of those things that changed

I'm not blaming you for taking the job. Look where it got you. All I'm suggesting is that you stop looking down your nose at your past co-workers and making it seem like they are part of some trouble that you managed to hold onto your high moral standards and avoid. They are you Cruz.

There is a lot being lost in translation through the Internet. If you were discussing this in person with me you'd realize I'm not looking down on people so much as I'm trying to have an open healthy discussion as to the reasons they should or shouldn't stay. Everyone can do whatever they please with their careers it's not mine to make or destroy. What I will publically come out and say is how the company is run and treats its employees. Every company has issues some more than others.

Lastly remember this industry is a small world. If you think your behavior here and now will not affect you in the future you should think again. You didn't burn the bridge you dropped a nuke on it.
