They said they want to "move quickly" on this, which I suspect means, "We want this to happen quickly, so we are going to ask the Union for a one-time pass on Moving Expenses in exchange for the Hub-basing."
Anyway, it sounded like they're hoping for this to happen by January. Maybe they meant 2015

It will probably be a lot more interesting in about 6 months with American's big hiring announcement a few weeks ago.
The industry is going full circle, in the 90's you paid them to work there, today they are paying you a bonus.
My prediction is the bonus will end up meaningless. Not that someone wouldn't work at Silver and collect a bonus, but will there be anyone available to work at Silver?

I believe the last part of that. If all the rest is true, it'll cost the company a fortune in moving expenses. The next staffing bid reflecting hub basing will be effectively a global reset, displacing nearly all of the DECs from last year to the right seat. It may pour gas on the pilot exodus fire. Great news in theory for us senior FOs who got bypassed and are still waiting for our money and a shot at TPIC time, but overall it could be a disaster.

Contract says otherwise. Slowly shifting lines from out stations to hubs is changing staffing levels, and closing a status means they have to run one. There will be many grievances filed to stop the company from doing what you describe, and the lawyers will have lots of fun. I agree that they would love to do it they way you say they will, but they won't get away with it. Re: sections 9.B and 9.D
