Pay

Can anyone share the average monthly take home pay for, lets say a 2nd year FO? Im seeing $35 an hour with a 75 hour guarantee. That's $2625/mo. But that's not a livable wage, ...right? I mean, thats a third of my military enlisted pay, So am I missing some other benefits, or are all the pilots extra poor. :D

Its pretty much E1 pay with BAS and single BAH(for a remote area). So yea its livable, but luckily only temporary.. Move livable with a military pension.

I know there was a study done in Canada that busted the myth of not being able to obtain a proper seal on aviation O2 masks. I get fitted every other year for masks in the military, both positive pressure and Chemical / Biological. Its one of those 15 minute seal tests, where you have to read out of a book while moving your head in multiple uncomfortable positions. The machine says I pass every time.

I know other countries airlines allow beards, and I know Hawaiian allows them, but was unsure about Silver, or any others.

Any info would be appreciated (except your personal opinion on why you don't like beards)

No beards allowed

No DEC on the ATR, They’re doing DEC Saab only!

Pay

Any idea when there will be a pay increase? $34 is pretty low.

No idea. The contract is still in negotiations.

I'm an offline pilot trying to rely on a jumpseat from MHH to FLL on 6/21.

Will I have any problems getting a seat in the back? I realize I won't be able to actually ride in the jumpseat because its international.

Load check?

I really appreciate the help.

Can folks at Silver discuss the current QOL situation?
What does the average schedule look like as far as legs per day go as well as average days off per month?
I understand there's a good mix of home-every-night and 3/4 day trip pairings, are both of these obtainable by all seniority or does one go more senior than the other?
Are you seeing lots of 121 career progression - pilots moving onto NK, JB, and the like? Legacies as well?

Thanks!
