true but i'm under the impression that if you don't have the degree your application goes to the bottom of the pile; or at the every least it means it'll take even longer to get to one of the bigger ones

That does happen, but only if you are a straight white male. Otherwise those minority & sex boxes you check, weigh more than TPIC & a College Degree for the Majors.

I know what you mean. They make you learn stupid, dumb stuff like punctuation and capitalization. Bastards.

I hate it too. And that the larger airlines hire pilots with ATP's. A private ought to be good enough. Or that they make you wear clothes. That's the worst. Uniforms? Total bull****. You should be able to show up with no education, just enough experience to drive a moped through a parking lot, and a tuxedo tee-shirt with flip flops and a beanie with a propeller on top.

Then again, there is some sage counsel floating around out there which reminds us never to go full retard. So, there is that.

Entitlement. Got some?

It seems what you're really asking is, "what is the most minimally qualified job I can get without having to work for it, that will let me live the way I want to live?" All you need to do now is define how you want to live, and doubtless a company will jump at lowering its standards to accommodate. Best of luck.

I don't think you need any books to prepare. It has fairly basic instrument flying questions. At least 5-10 questions are from approach plates, know how to read them; holding speeds, some airspace info, speeds above and below 10,000; icing is a BIG one considering the plane's history, they have a few questions on that; Holding entries and speeds; what is MIN FUEL; inebriated crew member; incapacitated crew member (declare an emergency and land asap); some thunderstorm related questions. It is timed and on video. I think its more than enough time to get through these questions if you remember these things. If you havent flown or studied in a while, brush up on your instrument knowledge and you'll be fine. Let me know if you have any further questions

I speak the truth. If you don’t want to accept the truth, too bad. I personally would want to be known that I was hired due to my skill set, not my sex, sexual orientation, or skin color. United Airlines CEO has publicly stated that 50% of Aviate folks will NOT BE STRAIGHT WHITE MALES. HR folks are the racist racist folks on the planet.

Dude… you’re racism just keeps coming out more and more. Just stop talking.

The fact that you think you’re under attack as a white male is laughable.

Go look at any airline class photo and tell me how many people of color and females you see.

I bet you’re not going to go do that because it doesn’t fit your narrative.

Get outa here with that racist bs.
