Any news on how many SAAB's they are getting?

APC and rumors say 18, but they only have 6 firm orders.

I think this is true. I think just ~6 so far to see how everything pans out, then bring in the rest. So far, 3 are on property with proving runs scheduled sometime within the next week or two. Their goal is to be the "largest saab operator in the US," wont be very hard in a year considering everyone's trying to get rid of them...

Anyone hear further updates on new uniforms? I've heard several different rumors, but it seems the latest is charcoal pants, white shirt, silver bars, silver wings, dark grey/pink tie.

I think a higher up said they were talking all of the saabs they can so that would be 18??

They have no idea of when another FO class is going to happen either. I talked to the CP this morning. His words were "you still might be consider in the near future." So it's anyones guess when they may call.

It's been TWO months since a group of us interviewed. A phone call or two with updates would help reassure any of the interviewees.

I took a job as a dispatcher for a fractional at home. I'll fly a desk and CFI on the side for the time being. No harm, no foul.

I'd be careful about statement like this if you still have any inclination to go there. It's quite possible that the CP reads this forum and if he sees this, then you may have shot down any chance of working there.

CP will be doing him a favor then :) he'll be making 3 times as much as a dispatcher. Or apply elsewhere. All regionals suck but some are just outright abusive.

Just sayin'...
