I think it depends. Most of the guys in my class heard something the very next day. There has been a lot going on down here, so it might be a little while.

Well our class finally got through everything, now we just have to wait for IOE to start. I'm ready to get out of this cold and back down to the islands!

I hear there's another Saab class coming up in a couple weeks. Anyone know someone in it? Heard it was all FOs and maybe a mgmt type or two who are getting typed on the Saab.

APC doesn't have the minimums posted in the profile.

drummerguy, or anyone else in the know, what are the minimums / competitive minimums to be considered for the FO position? Is it 1000tt / 100me? What are the average hours of the new hires? Is it in that ballpark?

Also, the profile states that there will be a continuing class every 8-10 weeks. How many are slatted to be in each of there recurring classes.

I have a couple of friends that may be interested in applying but they have low times. TIA

The minimums are a weird thing. In my class, 1200tt/100me were the minimums. They told us for the May class they were looking for at least 1300tt. I think that trend will continue. If we do another class in July, I would assume full ATP times. Then again, I'm not 100% sure. When I get over to STX I can ask around and see if I can get you any better information.

Thanks, just trying to pass the info along to other instructors that I know. They're close to the 1500tt, but don't have much in the way of multi time.

I heard many of the applicants are former colgan pilots, is this true? If so, I'm sure they'll all get snatched up fast by Seaborne since they have the S340 time.

Also, any idea how many will be in the May and July classes?

If those CFI dudes or better than that....CFI chicks have close to or at 1500, definitely have them throw an application in the mix. That is how i got my job as a 172 whistle tip patrol pilot .

You can't catch anything if you dont have bait in the water.

In my class, we had guys from all over the place. I know one was from Pinnacle, and a few from American Eagle. We also had a few 135 and corporate guys as well. Two is us came straight from instructing. O it was a pretty healthy mix of everything.

So far the rumor is they have 10 or 11 in the May class. I think they want 12 for that class. As far as June, I'm not sure how many they will be looking for.

Heard a great rumor from a couple friends at BB. Reportedly.. Sir Richard Branson is interested in buying the airline. That could get interesting!
