If there was ever a time, I think that time is now. Correct me if I am wrong, but bankruptcy does nothing to protect your livelihood, especially those pilots who are heavily vested in the company. The benefits of a union and contract would give you some bargaining power in the short term under the current regime and if the regime changes, would give you bargaining power in the transition. Reach out to anyone who has been through the SLI process and they will explain what happens during an acquisition. The last thing I want is for any of you to get "stapled to the bottom".

It's funny how the management trolls have been so quiet since the bankruptcy.

$200,000 lol that has to be the record lowest salary for a 121 airline president since the 1950, no wander were going under !! You get what you pay for, but it will be interesting to see with the right bankruptcy trustee how many violations of the coorperate vale have been going on, i.e, whats danny jr salery ? Im sure money is funnel that way too

Default Non-Compete EAS routes added in Chapter 11?

Let me get this straight, PenAir is a complete failure in the Portland and Denver Essential Air Service (EAS) markets; however, they are petitioning the government to add EAS service to the Pribilof Islands (St. Paul and St. George) and McGrath. Not only that, but PenAir is asking that the government "cheese" be given directly to PenAir to prop the company up in bankruptcy, and not to add these locations as EAS routes for any airline/airway to bid on like every other EAS route and subsequent contract. Never forget, that government "cheese" comes out of both of our pockets.

P.S. - Enough with the "oldest family owned airline in the United States." PenAir announced Scott Bloomquist as a "new" owner a few months ago. Unless he is an illegitimate child of Orin or a crazy uncle that Danny the Douche just found out about, the statement is patently false.

Sincerely,
Deadpool

Considering the family owns more than 70%, I think it's still a valid claim. But then you can try and define "own", and then maybe not so valid. Maybe more like "managed" or "run".
