I listened to the Podcast and the requirements were stated at 2500tt, but their website says 1500. Which is it, 1500 or 2500. Huge difference in this hiring environment

I’d be surprised if they were getting anyone at the moment with all the airline movement. Not even NetJets can get people to show up to class dates.

There were a two things from the interview that I found particularly puzzling.

First, the guy conducting the interview is a 121 pilot. He asked her about the schedule and didn’t seem to bat an eye when she said 15/13. When I tell 121 pilots that I used to work and 8/6 it blows their mind—let along a 15/13. Kinda makes me wonder if the interview was pay to play. It would be a classic Vista thing to do—why put money toward pilot QOL when you can spend it on disingenuous PR.

Second, she gave an example about a pilot commuting to work from vacation. As I understand it JE, just like all Vista companies, took away vacation. Seems strange to talk about vacation when your pilots aren’t given any.

13 days off is their version of vacation. I’m guessing from what was posted, the 121 guy has been researching companies and the 15/13 schedule isn’t a shock. Plus, when you’re in interview mode, you don’t blink at anything. Then, you do a post mortem on the interview.

And, then you say “WTF?!”:p
