Default Emb 120 Fo Hired

Hello:

I start INDOC with Ameriflight on July 30th. Flight and systems training in Flight Safety International. Any ideas on how I can be proactive and get books before hand? I can't PM yet.

If I remember correctly you stated that you had over 1500 TT... why are you going to be an FO? It makes zero sense unless you already live in city that you will be based out of... and even then you could be working elsewhere. I don't get it...

Congrats. Did you not want to fly the 1900 or anything? Either way someone has to do it, good luck.

I don't have enough MEL time for the B1900 or 99.
They want 200 MEL or more on 99. Also, don't like single pilot IFR that much.
I have 1515 TT and 130 MEL. Also have an offer from mesa B1900 participate in Capt. class but would get typed onto commercial certificate cause I am short on the 500 hrs cross country for ATP (BY 100). Although, would be FO for about 3 or 4 month to get those XC hrs. Then take my type/atp ride. But it is MESA? But Turbine PIC ERRRRRR CHOICES!

Ameriflight SIC EMB 120 and could have opportunity to upgrade to capt in it or go to right seat of lr jet after a year. Or inside that first year move after 5 month to BE 99 or 1900 or metro liner.

Any ideas? I think will take EMB..................

Guess it just depends on what you want to do and how you want to get there...and where you want to live. If you don't care then just do what you want. I wouldn't do the mesa thing but that's just me.

No-go on Mesa, earn your right to fly from the left seat IMO

I work with a guy who used to sit right seat on the 120. After a year or so, AMF still made him get his TPIC in the 99 before he could move into the 1900. There is very good reason for this. As stated earlier AMF is a single pilot IFR company with few exceptions. My advise, don't sit too long in the right seat. Try to get that 99 slot ASAP. SLC is always looking for 99 pilots and right now has relatively fast upgrades to the 1900 and Metro. Also don't plan on getting into the Lear until your name appears on the first page of the seniority roster.

I have a solid offer for a G 450 co-captain slot with a very prestigious outfit upon logbook times 2500 TT and 500 MEL. PIC Turbine not required. My thoughts take either EMB 120 next week which I signed up for and move to the G450 and get typed in it! Pay for that starts 82 K and schedule is 3 weeks on 1 month off. Currently at 1515 and 130 and this time next yr. could go G450 make money or pick major?

It is Pilot754 (MARK). You mentioned this on Jetcareers before you failed out of PSA training.
