Default aircraft ferry ops

I'm interested in ferrying aircraft on the weekends to build up some flight time. I'm based in Akron, OH. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get into this and what type of insurance I should cover myself with?

Most likely if it's ferrying aircraft, typically the "new" owners insurance will put the stipend that the pilot involved needs to have time in type etc... So if they want to have their plane covered, they'll listen to them. You on the other hand should just get some basic insurance through AOPA's underwriters, it's good stuff, should cover most stuff, and it's not that bad of a price. I don't really know if there's really that big of a demand for ferry pilots IMO, but I could be wrong. Good luck.
