Yep. You can't really get away with running at 100% for very long.

Not that it matters to the point of your comment, but it was a PA31 that geared up, not a 99.

Sorry, It appears my information was a little off. I guess this aircraft will be one of the PA31's to be parked? 😂

AMF announced a new pilot retention bonus plan yesterday, effective for at least the next 12 months.

For the next three 4 month periods (May-Aug, Sep-Dec, Jan-Apr) every pilot actively employed from the beginning to the end of the period will receive a bonus at the end of the period ranging from $2000 - $4500 per period, depending on aircraft qualifications.

Let's see.. New car? Pay of debts?

You only keep half of that after taxes... It seems to be lacking compared to some regionals (endeavor). It's a start, but I foresee staffing problems to continue.

You guys are missing the best part of the memo. It says that they will try to start allowing people to take their vacations again. WooHoo! You can actually use the vacation benefits that you already had!

Haha o man! No way! They won't continue to cut vacation?! I bet Frmrbuffdriver could weigh in on canceling PREVIOUSLY APPROVED VACATION. Ridiculous.

I dont know what tax bracket you are in, but the truth is the IRS will withhold 25% of your bonus, but that is just withholding. You will get most of that back when you file your taxes (for most single income pilots). Endeavor's bonus is higher but their base pay is lower so its a 1900 or Metro pilot will make more here.

25% federal + state + social security + medicare = 30-40% (depending on your state income tax rate and the number of dependents you have)
