the interview was pretty straight forward. If you are currently flying, there is really nothing that they ask that you shouldnt be able to answer... saying that, dont worry about the gouges online, my interview was nothing like the gouges! Review your Jeppesen charts, part 91 regs, a little weather theory (fog, icing, thunderstorms), but really nothing stands out in my mind as something that any current IFR pilot should have a problem with!

Be IFR current (they really were interested in that while looking through my logbook), be IFR proficient for the sim check as well. I was unable to get any sim practice prior to my interview and I felt a little behind in the box, but as long as you can fly an approach to minimums, its no big deal.

Everyone was really friendly and professional. They make you feel like youre already hired form the moment you walk in. From what I saw of the company, I am even more excited for the opportunity to fly for them.

SIU-- How long after you submitted your app did you hear back from Ameriflight? I am trying to get an idea how far north of ATP mins they are really looking for.

You only need 135 mins and they do hire at them. Be proactive.

Scooter's right... My buddy applied and followed up by mailing in his resume/cover letter and heard back from them within the week. I did the same and it took just a tad longer than that.

I don't know scoot, he/she might need to be hand fed in Burbank.

LOL, no hand feeding here... I've applied, but haven't bugged as much as I could because I had little hope. And I don't remember this thread mentioning multi time.... ;-)
