Air Cargo Carriers ONT
Anybody know about Aircargo Carriers New Page 1 with an ONT base? I live in PHX, is it worth the commute. I have 930TT/665ME/823PIC/615Dual Given.
Thank you in advance.

A good friend of mine just interviewed with them with much lower times than yourself. 2 days later they offered him the job, but not really since the contract they needed more pilots for got cancelled (or they just did not need any more people) according to him he is in a pool of sucessful interviewees without a start/class date. Not sure if they will be interviewing more pilots anytime soon. Hope that helps?

As for the company itself, ACC is ok. Used to see them quite a bit in my FBO days doing non sched stuff (car parts). They've had a couple accidents though (including one while doing aerial photo ops recently) but the pilots I know that worked there didn't have much bad stuff to say, which in and of itself was pretty good when it comes to 135 frieght.

The SBA run is still on their website, but it's a 4 leg a day run now. (ONT-SBA-SMX-SBA-ONT) I'm not sure where they base the crew and Mx.
ACC is ok to work for and they will upgrade pilots at 1200 hours if you do a good job and they need captains. They don't really hire people for a specific base. After ground school you are assigned to a base using some sort of seniority system that is most convenient for the company. I don't work there anymore so my info may be a bit old.
Pilotpip, by recently do you mean almost 3 years ago?

I just found out that the So Cal base is Santa Maria & the require that you sign a 1 year contract. I really am trying to avoid going to a regional, but will have to if I can't get a 135 gig. My choices are Mesaba or Eagle next spring. The way I look at it, Regionals are like Dr. Jeckel and Mr. Hyde....you just never know what the situation will turn into. I know that the industry in general is somewhat of a rollercoaster, but geeze.
