I went straight from Cape Air to a BeechJet, 1 year later and I'm over to the left seat. Another guy did the same but changed companies and is now flying a Lear 60. If you're not looking for an airline career, Cape Air is a great place to get the stick and customer service skills the corporate and charter companies seek.

There isn't any three month wait time that I'm aware of. Cubbies, from the guy that took your crashpad room, how are things going with your current job? Same goes to you buffalopilot

Got my interview date set. Really excited! Any tips for hotels, restaurants etc? Im goin across the country for the interview and doesnt look like it will be possible to make it there and back in one day, especially since I got 3 hours of driving on both ends of trip. The embassy suites is 200$ a night normal rate. Not sure if there is a special rate or not yet. Would consider others nearby for the night.
Also, any idea how long the whole process is? Trying to find a departure from BOS that could help me avoid a hotel fees.

So if I get hired I would need to be FO/PIC qual'd FO for a bit first. Just about 300 total hours as of now. But lots of flying still to be done at my current job before id be on the job at Cape if I were to get hired. So im currious as to where I may get assigned.
What are the regular bases for FO's? What about brand new Capts, say middle of summer(ish) once id be done as an FO?
Thanks!

If your interview is in BOS, then just make sure you get a hotel on the field. They have shuttles that will take you from one hotel to another. I stayed in the embassy suites because I didn't want to be late. Other people found cheaper hotels. The interviews lasted about 2 hours for us. There was a 30 minute group presentation and then individual interviews that lasted about 20 minutes a person. When do you interview?

5th of next month. Yeah ended up goin to the embassy. A bit pricey but free breakfast, shuttle, and easiest since the interview is there.

Just saw on the Cape Air FB page that there is a new route being announced soon. Anyone have an idea what it is?
