Ambitious? Yep. They do also have at least one Navajo that they fly on their current (only) EAS route, and they have at least 3 barons (at least three registered to them anyway).

Their EAS proposal says they have to use a 'Van for the new routes (unless they amended it), so yes, I am assuming they can get financing or put seats back in their current 'Van and use it to start service somewhere. With the gub'mnt promising them a check for $6.something million/year, financing shouldn't be impossible. They do have an extra month and a half to take delivery and start some service, and until Jan to start ORD.

Well good luck, if and I mean if they even get started, I'll gladly eat crow if they are still in business in 1 year. It is brutal being an upstart company, but then again the industry definatly needs some out of the box thinkers

The entire award is detailed here:

I noticed that the Cape Air default provision is only on the Decatur route. Since KAP didn't bid on Burlingon, IA, I guess Multi-Aero is the only option. I suppose this would make it easier for Multi-Aero to start service at Decatur ASAP to avoid losing it, then Burlington whenever they get around to it thereby reducing chances of a Cape Air takeover of the Decatur route.

Cape Air is also flying 6 RT's every day (only 4 at CGI but still no reduction on Sat/Sun). Hopefully they will need even more pilots to do the extra weekend flying...

Changing the subject for a moment.....

I understand Cape Air has some pilots based at RSW (Ft. Myers). Where would this fall is the scheme of things - real senior/real junior/someplace in between?

Where should a new hire (when there is such a thing) plan to be based?

RSW goes pretty senior; You might have a shot at EYW which is open as a base now. The pilots there now are in the middle of the list. New hires would probably end up in an outstation in NY MSS,OGS,ART or in one of the New STL outstations, other than that I think the only open lines are in RUT and SLK.

Any idea what the schedule looks like for the STL guys/gals?

That is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Thanks for the laugh! :D

I am pretty sure we do not fly IFR...especially the ATR ops;)
