I do have to say I was typing a little fast and that is that there are no hangers in Maui that fit a Caravan because of the tail the wings fit but not the 16 foot tail and the 16 legs a day is true if it is not 16 it might be plus or minus 3. It is still a hell of a lot of flying for one day let alone do it five days a week.

I also am a tainted employee of Pac Wings. Seems to me most all of the sh!tty stories are true. I worked there 5 years ago when the vans were new. I couldn't belive my eyes when I saw some tsunamies in ATL. The people that run that place are EVIL and don't deserve to live in such a beautiful place. Almost all of my friends were fired for retarded and unjust reasons. The pay was so bad I got food stamps and they made me quit them or I would be fired. Some places never change. I hope every pilot gets out unharmed.

I live near OWB, and PW is starting OWB-BNA service in September, under the call sign "Kentucky Blue". The locals are treating this as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Looks like they're in for a rude awakening.

Hawaii is the only state in the US that hires private companys for its Airport security forces. The people that are hired as gun guards are mostly fired police officers that are allowed to quit so the state of hawaii and the countys will not have to pay unemployment and deal with the unions. The laws that are being bypassed are their own. Pacific Wings is just one classic example of why we need real police at Hawaii Airports.

Gabriel Kimbrell has been arrested in Miami on charges of grand theft and organized scheme to defraud just months after he was fired from his position as president of New Mexico Airlines (Albuquerque). The charges relate to his tenure at the airline.

According to KOAT news, court documents claim that over the period January 2014 to January 2015, Kimbrell used his corporate credit card, which belongs to the airline’s parent Pacific Wings (LW, Kahului), to fraudulently acquire up to USD22,791 worth of vitamin supplies, personal travel, Amazon items, and gasoline for personal use among others.

Kimbrell was fired from the Albuquerque-based carrier in March after a series of maintenance issues with its fleet of Cessna (single turboprop) 208B Grand Caravans forced it to cancel flights from December onwards.

The downtime subsequently led to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) investigation which resulted in the carrier surrendering its operating certificate earlier this year.
