Can 135 check rides replace BFRs???

From: I only fly multi-winged airplanes.
Does anyone know if a 135 checkride can substitute for a BFR??? I havent seen anything in the regs that says it does...I know it would make sense that it would...but you never know with the FAA.

There was a discussion about this in the Aviation Law section. However, it pertained to SIC type rated pilots getting their checkrides in lieu of a BFR. Not sure if it will help, but here it is:
