Is there anybody out there who has worked for Kenmore Air Express? I am a CFI in Seattle and I believe flying Caravans would be a good next step for me. Is this a good company to fly for? How are FO's paid? Is there a training contract? What are the advancement oportunities to captain or multi. What are the duty days like? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No offense intended but unless it's a matter of being let go from yoru current job and you need the (any) money don't even consider flying as an FO on a van, if you've got over 1500 and most of that in WA state I'd look at a job in Alaska on 2 week shifts... before a Caravan FO, a Caravan is a single pilot airplane, and being an SIC in one is about as good as spinning your wheels for less money than you make now.
Aside form that I haven't heard anything negative about Kenmore air, I believe they are the largest scheduled float airline in the country though.

I have no experience with Kenmore.
Not sure what the pay and QOL is like there, but I concur, unless you are getting an improvement, FO in the Beast has limited resume value.
That said, if life will be better for you (better living arrangements, better pay, or better schedule) I wouldn't write off any job.
And the Beast is a Blast to fly!

"SIC" in a caravan as NOT loggable as any sort of flight time unless:
-The company is a 135/121.
-Their FAA OPSPEC requires an SIC.
-You are formally trained and get a checkride.
Insurance requirements, company policy, etc do not count unless it's in the OPSPEC.

I was offered a captain spot there two years ago. The pay was not great at all and I would have been expected to spend 21 nights away each month.
The flight time is not all that valuable either. 152 time is about the same as 208 time (unless you are a 208 FO then the 152 PIC is worth more). I would stay where you are. Besides I doubt they will be hiring for a long time.
Get comfortable as a CFI. It is going to be a while before things get better. During the recession of the early 1990's it was common to see 3000 hour flight instructors at BFI.

I have a friend who left Skywest Brasilia flying and flew C208 for Kenmore Air Express and got laid off. Now he's in Alaska flying PA32. Never worked for Kenmore but got a few friends/acquaintances for land base and float base and Kenmore is in it rough.
So if you have aspirations to fly C208 for them it wont happen soon as they laid off a bunch of pilots.

I've been trying to get on with Kenmore since mid 2008. They are simply not hiring and probably won't be for a while. I've heard Pete Brady has a stack of resumes collecting dust on his desk and that he's actually taken over some of the flying as well. A friend of mine, who is also pals with Pete, went to go talk to him recently to get a side job going and this is the scoop he got.
Once they start hiring again, be prepared for some stiff competition too.
Yeah, it's a SEL caravan job, but for some of us it would still be pretty cool. Hell, I even interviewed at the notorious Pacific Wings last year.
