Default CANPASS / background checks

Does anyone know what sort of checks CANPASS runs for PIC and SIC on unscheduled flights into Canada?

Your driving record. A friend had a DUI and was unaware of their policies. He had to pay two hundred and fifty bucks to clear customs. Canada makes bank off yanks with any kind of misdemeanors in the past 10 years.

They check everything, anything that's on your federal record will pull up. I got to have a lengthy discusion with a Canadian customs officer that happened back when I was in high school. Wasn't driving related either, so they can pull up anything.
