I recently interviewed there. Very laid back. You get to meet and spend quite a bit of time with the CEO and DO as well as mingle with many employees. By far, the most casual interview I have ever been to (been to many). Hard to gauge their process of decision making. Very light on the technical knowledge. Personality and how well one would represent the company are very high on their list, if I had to guess. Nothing you can prepare for. Friendly and welcoming group of people.
It definitely had a "start-up" feel. Lots of young peeps dressed casually coming and going constantly. Pretty loose feel. Lots of things in flux.
I was impressed by the quality of the people I interviewed with. Lot's of experience, well-rounded people.
Pay, qol, equipment and flying are all pretty sweet for what it is. Very interesting company. Hope it works out!
Ps. Hey ArrJay, I PM'd you....

HR interview was done on Skype. Decisions Expected for Monday. They want CAs for Oakland and they're on a push to scale quick with profitability the goal in 6 months. Seems like the only things that will get you on their radar is OAK locality or a friend inside.

Any updates on expansion into Texas? I'll be available at the end of 2015 and the Surf Air model looks very interesting. Thanks!
BTW, are there any collateral positions available (i.e. instructor, safety, check airman)?

Yes, many people there have a couple different jobs. The captains have the opportunity to become training captains and eventually check airmen. As well as safety, scheduling, etc. Your time meets the requirements for street captain.
